It's a Repeat!

Well, the 2009-2010 season has come to an end. Roughly 2,325 games long and it came down to one Thursday night as the Los Angeles lakers defeated the Boston Celtics by a score of 83-79. It was one of the most low-scoring games in NBA Finals Game 7 History. Lakers players showed their emotional side after winning the title for two years in a row. The Bill Russell Most Valuable Player Award was awarded to Kobe Bryant. Kobe was also phenominal during the game as he scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. He finished with a double-double. Pau Gasol provided some back-up with 19 points, 18 rebounds, and four assists. Gasol was one of the two Lakers players, the other being Kobe, to finish with a double-double. The C's also had some effort provided by Paul Pierce who scored 18 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and assisted two. Pierce also walked off the court with a double-double.

It's Going Kobe's Way

The must-win Game 6 for the Lakers was handled easily as the Los Angeles Lakers cruised by a score of 89-67. This win means that the Lakers have forced a Game 7 in the Championship Finals Series, only the 3rd in the last 21 years; the last being the 2005 Pistons vs. Spurs. As you may have guessed, Kobe Bryant was the Player of the Game, as he was unstopable with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists. He also posted a double-double with his performance. On the Celtics side, the high-scorer was Ray Allen with 19 points.

Injury Report:

You might have already been hearing some news that Kendrick Perkins was only one technical foul away from being suspended a game. Well, the problem last night was not a technical. Kendrick Perkins appeared to have injured his right knee on an offensive rebound attempt against Andrew Bynum. Perkins landed akwardly on his right knee and did not return. No official injury report yet, but Kendrick Perkins is a game-time decision.

Almost Making Infamous History:

The Boston Celtics almost made infamous history last night by scoring the second-lowest point total (67) in the Championship Finals History. The lowest point total being 54 scored by the Utah Jazz against the Chicago Bulls in 1998.

Let's try for No. 18

The Boston Celtics have defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 5, 92-86, and threaten Franchise Championship No. 18. Boston leads the NBA already in Franchise Championships and is looking for more with a 3-2 advantage against L.A. Paul Pierce was the Player of the Game with 28 points. Kevin Garnett also played his heart out by scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He also earned a double-double with his effort. L.A. got up off the ground in the 3rd quarter but could not finish strong enough for the Boston Celtics. Kobe Bryant, during the hot L.A. run in the 3rd, scored all of the Lakers 19 points at one time. Kobe finished with 38 points.

Don't forget to watch Game 6 in Los Angeles at 9/8 PM Central. Will the C's be named Champs? Will the Lakers force Game 7? Stick with Time Now! for the outcome.
